2014

For 2014 TGR decided to upgrade a few key engine parts. One of the biggest changes was going from a Chevrolet factory block to a Dart Big M engine block. Changing to this block should allow us years of racing. We had to change the lifters and push rods to accommodate this new block and the added deck height. The Trophy Wife has a new Comp Camshaft. It showed us some improvement in RPM on the dyno which equals more power. We are addicted to power. We re-assembled this Dart block with new bearings, rod bolts, rings and wrist pins and got it on the Dougan's dyno 8 days before our first race of the year. Thanks to Jim Burleson for another kick ass motor and Ray Field (Owner of Dougan's Racing Engines) for the machine work on our new power plant and dyno testing.

Our goals for the weekend are to install the motor back in the 333 boat. Run complete systems test. Load the race trailer and prepare for the road.

Stay tuned.
